When will ‘it’ happen?

I was thinking earlier this week about b*llshit myths we're peddled about dating and love.

The biggest one I was told was “it will happen when you stop looking”. I took this seriously, and spent years pretending I was unbothered, didn't want a relationship and wasn't looking. I'd have one night stands for this reason, and wake up in the morning, furious they hadn't fallen in love with me. I basically spent my 20's trying to ‘trick’ the universe 😂

BUT as I discovered, this didn't seem to work for me. So, once I started my own journey in cleaning up my cr*p, I realised in order to reach a goal, we have to start taking it seriously.

There is a huge difference in:

👉 Desperately searching for something out of fear, where we can make decisions based on anxiety and fear ‘this is our last chance’, and try and cling on to whatever comes our way (unfortunately this usually has the opposite effect and repels people)

👉 Being open and excited about love. Taking it seriously, making time for it, being strong in what we are looking for and trusting it is out there. This usually increases our opportunities, allows us to step back, date out of self-worth and is bloody attractive!

What do you think?
